Su Il Roveto

L’ironia delle rose

Nota alla raccolta Il Roveto (2005)

Il Roveto is a poetry collection which contains strong political-ideological views on art, religiosity and ethicality. The reader must decode the author’s entangled massages according to a shared worldview, which is post-Christian and Westernized. In spite of their obscurity, we can easily approach these elusive texts with our own fore understanding. However, the volume is both grounded in history and in the author’s personal sensibility, so that we may find in these poems, identity as well as strangeness. I liked the book because of the author’s remarkable engagement with the reader which is always effective and thought provoking. Indeed, several individual poems function as a set of instructions for poetry own processing. That is, their reality lies between the reader and the text.
